 Homage to Martyr by UPESL at Kasganj  President IESL unveiled the Bust of a Martyr at a ceremony in Kasganj (UP)  last week.  The function was organised by UPESL at Kasganj .  The function was attended by a large number of Defence Veterans , Veer Naris and a number of prominent civilians of the area. 

Kargil Vijay Diwas at Kanpur On the occasion of Vijay Diwas a function was arranged by the Kanpur chapter of UPESL Lt Gen Balbir Singh, PVSM, VSM** was the Chief Guest on the occasion attended by a large number of of Defence Veterans , Veer Naris and a number of prominent civilians. 

 Meeting with Adjutant General on 02 Sep 2013 The President accompanied by General Secretary met the Adjutant General on 02 Sep 2013 .  The following points discussed :-

(a)  IESL to be included in the distribution list of AGs Branch for dissemination of the latest rehabilitation /welfare schemes to our veterans widows and dependents

(b)  Staffing of DESW to include Armed Forces Personnel (serving /Retired) for correct perspective of the concerns of Defence Veterans .

(c)  MOD has assumed a compulsive  litigant attitude pertaining to all ESM related Court Judgements

(d)  Restoration of the standing group status of IESL in SCOVA

The issues were discussed in detail and the AG assured the president they would be taken up on priority with MOD
